Fr Frank writes:

This weekend our parish church has been open to visitors. There have been many and varied comments about the outside of the building - some complimentary, some otherwise. Many more people will, this weekend, have been enabled to see the inside. I'm sure they will like what they see. I think it's a wonderful building and believe we can be justifiably proud of our achievements.

My thanks go to all those who have delivered invitations, have prepared the church and the various displays, and those who have helped on the day - serving tea/coffee and generally offering a warm welcome.

This week sees the beginning of November (Brrrrrrrrrr!). Envelopes for the Month of Holy Souls are available. These will be placed on the Altar at St Augustine's during Mass, and before the tabernacle at other times. May the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace.

May God richly bless you.

Sunday Smile:

Melanie (aged 5) asked her Granny how old she was. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six.
