Parish News:
- News from Fr Charles: who passes on his Advent best wishes to everyone at his second home
in Springfield. Fr Charles is happy to inform everyone that, thanks to the parish's generosity, he has been
able to replace his old and troublesome motorcycle with a new reliable one. The rest of the money is being used
in the construction of the new school. He is delighted with what they have been able to do and will be sending
photos of the progress as well as of his trusty new steed!
- Parish Reconciliation Service: takes place on Wednesday this week. We welcome Fr David
Prior and Fr Anthony McKentey who will be assisting. Reconciliation is an essential part of our preparation
over Advent, and everyone should make a special effort to be present at this important service.
- Compassion: Joe and Carole Hughes would like to thank everyone for the generous response
to last week's appeal.
- New Hall Christmas Fayre: Christmas gifts for all the family, wreaths and produce at New
Hall Prep School on Thursday 13th December, 2.30 - 6pm. Entrance £2 for adults including coffee and mince
pie, children free.

- An Evening for Ethiopia: Friday 14th December 7.30pm - 10pm at Holy Name Church, Lucas
Avenue. Mr Lewis will be giving a talk about his six weeks spent in Ethiopia working with street children,
followed by refreshments and a showing of the docu-film 'Black Gold' (Cert. U 74 mins) "As

- Oasis of Peace (Medjugorje) Day: on Saturday 26th January with Fr Seamus Keenan at

- Abbotswick goes live! The sisters have launched a website for the House of Prayer which
