SECOND SUNDAY OF YEAR A:
20th January 2008
Peace Day & Education Sunday
Fr Frank writes:
I was rather caught out last week in suggesting that a large proportion of the new chairs for St
Augustine's would be delivered soon. By the time you got the Newsletter we had already received 54! I hope
you like them. The new chairs come with a kneeler. I would want to encourage you to use these, particularly
during the Prayer of Consecration at Mass.
Fr John Glynn will be making a return visit to St Augustine's next Sunday evening (details below). As
well as entertaining us with an evening of music, Fr Glynn will be selling CDs on the night. I'm sure
we're in for a treat.
Please note details of the Vigil Mass next Sunday. This will be celebrated at Great Waltham Anglican Church
courtesy of the vicar (Rev Carla Hampton) and the Church Council. It is a Vigil Mass proper, and participation
fulfils Sunday Obligation.
May God richly bless you.
