Parish News:
- Day pilgrimage to Walsingham October 11th: £15 per head. If you are interested in
joining the pilgrimage please let Cath Lyons or Fr Frank know as soon as possible - we need at least 40
participants to make the trip viable. The coach will need to be booked by the middle of July!
- Pastoral Parish Council AGM Wednesday 9th July: 8pm at St Augustine's. It would be
great to have a good turnout so please do make every effort to attend.
- I Believe Course, St Augustine's Thurs 10th July 10.15am: Session 2 'How We
Believe'. Presented by David Payne of the Catholic Evangelisation Services and talking to Keith Ward, Fr
Jerome Murphy O'Connor, Archbishop Mark Coleridge. Do come along and enjoy any of the sessions you can
manage to get to.
- Friends of Essex Churches Cycle Ride: will take place on Saturday 13th September. We are
looking for volunteers to provide the cyclists/walkers with tea/coffee or a soft drink and stamp their card to
verify their visit. If you are able to give up an hour to enable this to take place, please add your name to
the rota at the back of church - bring your own deck chair! Thank you. Fr Frank.
- Praise and Worship: 16th July at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 8 - 9.30pm followed by tea
and coffee. The evening will be led by Rev. Mones.
- Mini re:fresh for 5-8 year olds (Chelmsford Christian Festival 2008): Saturday 12th July
2-4pm, at the Festival Site, Central Park - a children's workshop including arts and crafts, music, games,
refreshments and above all fun! Registration is £2 - please ask Fr Frank for a form. Further info from

- Essex Recusant Society outing to Our Lady Immaculate church, Sat. 12th July: meeting at
the church at 2pm. Fr Stewart Foster will give a talk and a guided tour of the church. If you are coming please

- Charity Rock'n'Roll/Classic vehicle event: Sat 26th July 2pm-midnight at Amaryllis
House, Montrose Road, Dukes Park Industrial Estate for Diabetes in support of the local hospital. Tickets
£16 in advance from 0776 774 5770 or £20 on the gate and £8 for those displaying classic
vehicles. Under 14s free. World champion jivers demonstration and jive tuition available. More info from

- Acorn Christian Listening Course , St Mary's Church Centre, Great Baddow: Christian
listening is three dimensional: listening to others, listening to ourselves and listening to God. The listening
course of 4 2½ hour sessions give a good introduction to the listening method. Dates are 8, 15, 22, 29
