Fr Frank writes:

Our new burial area for ashes is taking shape at St Augustine's. It's not ready yet, but we anticipate that interments will be able to take please in the not too distant future. The area will be reserved for the interment of ashes of departed loved ones who have been associated with one of the two communities who use the church - it will not become a general burial ground for Springfield. The central feature is now in place - a standing stone (sourced from Turkey) - surrounded by a paved area (sourced from India). If you have not yet seen it, do pay a visit. The site can be found on the north side of the church, between the car-park hedge and the hedge running along the boundary with New Bowers Way. To get there, you will have to walk round the front of the church (it is deliberately out of the way to deter vandals etc!).

May the God of Peace richly bless you.

Fr Frank
