THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD (YEAR B):
24th May 2009
Bishop's Visitation and Confirmation Day
Fr Frank writes:
Today we welcome Bishop Thomas, and we pray for him and for the twenty young people of our parish who will receive the
Sacrament of Confirmation at the 12 noon Mass.
We celebrated a wonderful First Holy Communion Mass on the 16th. My thanks to Cath and Bernadette and to all those who
worked so hard to prepare the children (not forgetting their parents!), and thanks too to the children for their prayerful
devotion. The Going Forth Mass will be celebrated on 7th June, and, last, but by no means least, the Garden Party for our
First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation Children will take place on 12th July - pray for fine weather!
We have much to be proud of in our children and young people. Keep them in your prayers.
May our Risen and Ascended Lord bless you all.
Fr Frank
