SS PETER AND PAUL:
28th June 2009
Parish News:
- Swine Flu: The following message has been received from Bishop Thomas. "Last week I made a
recommendation that people should receive Holy Communion in the hand and not receive from the Chalice. On further
consideration, this seems to be rather premature and I would be happier if you did not implement this for the time being.
We will see how things develop and if necessary, I will give a further directive if things change. Please feel free to
make this known. With all good wishes, +Thomas."
- Hymn Books: The number of hymn books in church is on the decline again. Please check your sock
drawers! Many thanks. Fr Frank.
- The Aylesford Youth Festival: will take place on Saturday 4th July. A coach will be travelling from
Saint John Payne School departing at 9am and returning at approximately 9.30pm. This day of activities, fun and worship
is open to any young person aged 12-18. The cost of the day is £15 including transport and a place on the coach can
be booked with Christine Webb on 01245 256030 or by Email.
- Does your employer operate a Match Funding scheme?: As a registered charity we are eligible to
benefit from schemes where employers will match or contribute to their employees charitable donations. Please consider
investigating whether the company you work for operates such a scheme which would add to your regular offertory giving. A
great way to encourage your employer's philanthropy whilst raising extra funds for the church at no extra expense to
yourself!
