FIFTEENTH SUNDAY OF YEAR B:
12th July 2009
Sea Sunday
Fr Frank writes:
New immigration procedures have made things a little more complicated and uncertain, but Fr Charles arrived in the UK on
7th July. He will spend the rest of this month at Wickford, supplying for Fr John Glynn, and will transfer to Springfield
in readiness for the first Sunday in August.
I will try to get him to attend the First Holy Communion/Reconciliation Garden Party this afternoon - if I've been
successful, some of you may see him there. But this may not be possible as I know many people in Wickford, as well as here,
look forward to entertaining him when he is with us. Not for nothing did he get the nickname 'Two Dinners
Kakooza'.
With every blessing
Fr Frank

Owing to other commitments, Charlotte can no longer continue with this vital work. CAN you help? If you are willing to
spend 20-30 minutes a week picking up litter from the church gardens and car park I would like to hear from you. Many

Sunday Smile:
(this is true - or so I'm assured):
Caller: I'd like the number of the Argoed Fish Bar in Cardiff.
Operator: I'm sorry, there's no such listing. Is the spelling correct?
Caller: Well, it used to be the Bargoed Fish Bar but the 'B' fell off.
