TWENTY-NINTH SUNDAY OF YEAR B
18th October 2009
World Mission Day
Fr Frank writes:
Many thanks for your prayers and words of support as I and the family mourn the loss of our mother. It is truly
wonderful to feel your loving support. As I am sure you know, there are many things to do when a loved one dies, and I
shall continue to need to take Tuesday off for the time being.
Many thanks for your patience, and to Deacon Kevin and the Eucharistic Ministers much gratitude for holding things
together during my many absences.
Today we celebrate World Mission Day. Each day we live out our mission, but we are reminded very powerfully today of the
need to support and pray for our worldwide mission, to proclaim Christ and to live as Christ in a world which sadly needs
him as much as ever it did.
May the God who calls us into one bless you now and always.
