- The Essex Recusant Society invites applications for a bursary to enable a young person interested in History to attend the Catholic Record Society conference in July 2010. Conference fee, accommodation and travel expenses covered. Applicants, aged between 16 and 30, should write an outline of 300 words for an article to be published in South Eastern Catholic History in 2011. - how two hours seems so long when you are in church, and so short when you are watching a film?
- how everyone wants front row seats to concerts and games but they do whatever possible to sit on the back row in church?
- how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible, but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a novel?
- how we believe everything in the newspaper, and question the words of the Bible?
