THE TWELFTH SUNDAY OF YEAR C:
19/20th June 2010
Stewardship Sunday
Fr Frank writes:
Next Sunday we welcome one of the members of the Norbertine Community at our Sunday Masses. It is a great joy to have
the Community as neighbours and I am grateful for their help, which enables me to attend the baptism of our granddaughter,
Regan Eleanor Katherine Foy, in Manchester.
I am sure you will, as always, make our visitor welcome.
With many blessings.
Father Frank
From the Parish:
- Parish Panto: thanks to Chris, Catherine and Jon who launched this last weekend. The Panto itself
will take place on 21st & 22nd January 2011 - a long way off you may think - but forms for parts, musicians, stage
hands, set painters, front of house staff etc need to be in by next weekend so that serious preparations can begin.
It's all very exciting - oh yes it is! Fr Frank.
- John Glynn: you may have heard a rumour, or read in The Tablet or The Universe, that John Glynn has
left the priesthood in order to marry. He is currently living in Ireland, and mail can be sent to him via the Diocesan
Offices in Brentwood. I am sure you will be joining me in praying for John. We pray and hope that, what must have been a
difficult decision, will bring him happiness. Remember, prayer is much better than gossip or judgement!
- Masses: I am very conscious of the backlog of Masses waiting to be said. Every request is important
but we do give priority where we know there is a particular urgency - illness, recent death or serious problems - and in
the case of multiple requests for the same person we try to spread them out in fairness to everyone. I know you will be
patient and assure you that we do give everyone equal consideration.

Sunday Smile:
A man bought a new fridge. To get rid of the old one, he put it in his front garden with the sign "Free to a good
home. You want it, you take it."
For three days the fridge sat there. He changed the sign to "Fridge for Sale - £20." It was stolen
within two hours!
